THE PROJECT
An agricultural and construction transport company that rents and sells its vehicles to its customers engaged us to prepare its conditions of hire/ purchase.
HOW WE HELPED
We advised our client about the unintended consequences that can arise where conditions of hire/ purchase fail to address the responsibilities that are implied in the National Credit Code. Once we had established that our client did not have any such responsibilities, we were able to put together water tight terms and conditions that carved out the National Credit Code and more accurately reflected our client’s intentions.
THE PROJECT
An architectural staircase and balustrade specialist engaged us on an urgent basis to assist its prospects of recovering unpaid, withheld and otherwise disputed contractual payments to the sum of $100,000.00 that it genuinely believed it had little prospects of receiving.
HOW WE HELPED
We reviewed contracts, schedules, payment claims and correspondence to determine our client’s entitlements to receiving the payment. We prepared a summary of our client’s position and attended a meeting at its premises to efficiently work through the best possible course of action to recovering the money. Our client walked away with $70,000.00 and with the satisfaction that it was saved from writing off a significant debt.
